State police in Washington County spotted the vehicle shortly before 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, on Main Street in Kingsbury.

Troopers discovered it had been reported stolen from Gwinnett County, Georgia in July 2022.

An investigation revealed that 36-year-old Jaylene Conyer, of Schenectady, had rented the car in Georgia in July 2020 and never returned it on the agreed date two months later, police said.

Conyer was arrested on a charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle and later released with an appearance ticket.

She’s due back at Kingsbury Town Court on Wednesday, Sept. 7.

State police said the stolen vehicle was seized and secured.
